1 scrap of paper almost indecipherable and undated, signed by Thomas Purcell with a reference to James Purcell, Baron of Loughmoe
- 3 petitions of Elizabeth Purcell, 1654;
5 documents about grants of lands made to Elizabeth Purcell, 1654-55, includes receipt for £200 paid by Elizabeth Purcell
- Colonel John Fitzpatrick:
1 Account of the deposition of the Rent by Col. Fitzpatrick of Mr. Purcell’s Estate, 27 October, 1663;
4 other papers, difficult to decipher, include letter dated 9 June 1666.
- 1 Document of Assignment of Loughmoe to James Purcell, signed by Ormonde (?) (very poor condition), 1649;
1 letter from ---, Bishop of Killaloe, to Col. Fitzpatrick about Church lands. (Edward Worth), dated 1666
- Abstract taken from an old bible which belonged to the Purcells of Kanturk, Co. Cork
3. 1 printed circular dated February 2, 1809, issued by Robert Hart, Agent and Registrar, King’s Hospital ‘To prevent the Itch or other infectious diseases’
4. 1 City of Dublin Pipe & Water receipt dated 16 April, 1784, for 491 Nassau Street, The Provost, Trinity College
5. 1 Dublin City Parish of Marks hearth-money receipt, dated 20 November 1783
Presented to the Royal Irish Academy, 30 June, 1950 by J. Riversdale Colthurst on behalf of Mrs. Delap, Mulrankin Rectory, Wexford, and her brother, Dr. W. Stubbs. The papers belonged to their grandfather, the late J.W. Stubbs, Senior Fellow, T.C.D., his mother having been a Miss Purcell. (Royal Irish Academy: Minutes of Proceedings, 1950-51, p.[14])
