Research Integrity
The Royal Irish Academy supports efforts to promote and secure research integrity within the Irish public research system. It works closely with the Irish universities and research funders and is closely networked to relevant European-wide networks with an interest in this issue, such as the ALLEA (All European Academies Association).

RIA/IUA/HRB Workshop: Research Integrity: promoting and building trust
In September 2009, the Academy together with the Irish Universities Association and the Health Research Board and with support from Science Foundation Ireland and the Higher Education Authority convened a Workshop to discuss the development of a national approach to the promotion of research integrity and the effective and fair investigation of research misconduct allegations.
