Flashes of Brilliance (2006) is a project made up of a book, published by the RIA and a television programme, produced by New Decade Film & TV and the RIA.

TV Programme 
This one-hour documentary featured six of Ireland’s most high-profile scientists and was screened on RTÉ 1. Scientists featured are Dr Emmeline Hill; Professor Tim O’Brien; Professor Fergus Shanahan; Professor Dermot Diamond; Professor Michael Coey; and Professor Luke O’Neill. A DVD of the documentary is included with the Flashes of Brilliance book.
