The RIA Life Sciences Committee has instituted an occasional series of statements on issues of public interest in the Life Sciences, with the aim of informing and enthusing a general readership.

The fifth statement is entitled ‘Parasites – Hidden Horrors in our Midst’ and has been written by Aaron Maule and Nikki Marks

The fourth statement is entitled ‘Biodiversity in our Lives’ and has been written by Professor Tom Bolger

The third statement is entitled ‘DNA Fingerprinting: The Code to Identification’ and has been written by Professors Geraldine Butler

The second statement is entitled ‘Diet, Physical Activity and Health’ and has been written by Professors Philip Newsholme, Giuseppe De Vito and Colin Boreham. (June 2011)

The first statement is entitled ‘The Need for Life Sciences in Ireland’ and has been written by Professor Alex Evans (UCD) (February 2011).
