Workshop organised by the RIA Committee for Life Sciences
registration fee: €20, concession rate €10 - click here to register online
This one day workshop which is being organised by the Academy Committee for Life Sciences is aimed at highlighting:
- Current challenges with lung disease treatments,
- Clinical and scientific progress with new treatment strategies,
- Enterprise opportunities between clinicians, scientists, industry and agencies on the island of Ireland with an interest in translational research in the area of respiratory disease, with a focus on medical devices, therapeutics and diagnostics.
A series of presentations by clinicians, researchers and companies will be followed by a session to discuss the establishment of a network of interested parties. The network will aim to identify research capacities, needs and opportunities with a view to developing a strategic response to the challenges in lung disease treatment. The network will use the NUIM/DCU/RCSI Translational Research Hub (TRH) as a framework but will be all-inclusive.
Abstracts are also invited for consideration for inclusion as scientific/clinical poster presentations and there will be a prize for the best poster. To download a copy of the abstract submission form please click here. Completed forms must be returned Shirley.odea@nuim.ie by no later than 21 August 2012
