On Thursday 13th January , Michael Burawoy (Professor of Sociology, University of California, Berkeley and President of the International Sociological Association) delivered a Royal Irish Academy Discourse entitled ‘University in Crisis: A Public Sociology Perspective’, to a capacity audience in Academy House.

The lecture was organised in association with the IRCHSS, as the first in a series of public lectures celebrating their 10 year anniversary.
