Sean Lester: Journalist, Revolutionary, Diplomat, Statesman

Sean LesterSean Lester (1888-1959) was a patriot, a journalist, a diplomat and a statesman. He devoted  his life to the ideal of world peace, confronted Nazi terrorism in Poland and became the last Secretary General of the League of Nations. Dr Gerard Keown, historian and diplomat with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade will deliver a public lecture on Sean Lester’s extraordinary life. The event will be chaired by James Kingston, Legal Adviser to the Department of Foreign Affairs, and a reply with be provided by the Hon. Ms Chief Justice Susan Denham.
