Abstract
We study the relation between the growth of sequences||Tn|| and ||(n + 1)(I-T)Tn|| for operators T ∈ L (X) satisfying variants of the Ritt resolvent condition ||(λ-T)-1|| ≤ C/(|(λ-1)|) in various subsets of {|λ|- 1} .
