Public Call: Brian Cregan, Artist Photographer
Grangegorman Histories issued a public call in July 2023 inviting applicants to contribute to the uncovering, cataloguing and commemorating of the history of the Grangegorman site. The five successful awardees have received funding to develop their work through research and creative endeavors. Here we’re profiling the work of Artist Photographer, Brian Cregan.
About the project
Artist photographer Brian Cregan will review his archive of photographs which capture transformational moments of the Grangegorman area and explore its social history and architectural heritage. Among them, the last days of St Brendan’s Hospital before the lights were switched off and the restoration and construction phase began for the new TU Dublin Campus. Brian is sharing these images and their immense historical value with the public through Grangegorman histories.
