New President Elected

Professor Mary E. Daly was elected as the first female President of the Royal Irish Academy in its 229-year history.

DIB ‘Missing Persons’

The DIBs most recent batch of entries contains 82 ‘Missing Persons’ not included in the 2009 publication. Names include the trade unionist Rosie Hackett and writer Heinrich Boll pictured left.

LUAS Works

LUAS works will commence on Dawson Street on 24th February. While there will be some inevitable disruption the Academy will be open for business as usual.
