Dublin Festival of History | Behind the maps: Dublin city and suburbs in the Irish Historic Towns Atlas workshop

This workshop will give an overview of why and how the Irish Historic Towns Atlas (IHTA) was established, what it functions as and how it can be used in numerous research avenues from Dublin's built heritage, to history of the city and suburbs, archaeology, comparative urban studies etc. Multiple layers and angles of Dublin's urban morphology will be explored with samples and how the IHTA can be navigated and ways in which it can be applied to digital innovations.
