The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Irish History Online Feedback

Please help us to improve the accuracy and currency of Irish History Online by contributing to the bibliography or notifying us of any additions or corrections. 

If you would like to submit your publication details to the IHO, you can do so by clicking here 

If you publish an article on Irish history in a periodical that does not routinely contain material on Irish history, you may send an offprint to the compilers of Irish History Online (IHO), Royal Irish Academy Library, 19 Dawson Street, Dublin 2. Please ensure that the offprint includes all necessary information including title of periodical, volume, part and year, and the ISSN number of the periodical.
