Tá eolas thíos ar an saghas imeachtaí a bhíonn ar siúl againn san Acadamh.
A Discourse takes place during an Ordinary General Meeting of the Academy. It is a public lecture by a leading scholar lasting no more than an hour, which is preceded by Academy business and followed by a formal response, ordinarily from an Academy Member. There are no fewer than six Discourses a year.
An Academy Masterclass is made up of one speaker and no more than 20 participants. The participants are all early career researchers, post-docs, PhD or Postgraduate students. The idea is that young researchers get the opportunity to meet a leader in their field and learn about some of the challenges and opportunities in that particular area.
These are public lectures delivered by eminent speakers on subjects of general interest. These lectures can be held in Academy House or in another location, and are intended for an audience in excess of 100 people.
