The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Joe Devlin

Process Development Director Boston Scientific

Joe joined Boston Scientific in 2006 and has held leadership roles in Engineering and Production prior to being appointed Process Development Director for Boston Scientific Cork in 2018, he is responsible for new product introductions supporting Endoscopy, Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Interventions and Urology. Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Joe worked with Ford Motor Company both in the UK and the US where he was responsible for Powertrain new product launches. He is an Industry advisory board member of Irish Manufacturing Research and holds both an Engineering Degree and MSc. in Technology Management from UCC.
