
Archaeology Grants open
10 February 2023Archaeology Research Grants, Archaeological Research for World Heritage Sites and Archaeology Radiocarbon dates schemes open
Together with the National Monuments Service, and Historic Environment Division NI the Royal Irish Academy recently opened applications for the Archaeology Research Grants, Archaeological Research for World Heritage Sites and Archaeology Radiocarbon dates schemes. Applications for all three schemes are welcomed until Thursday, 30th March 2023.

Thanks to continued support from the National Monuments Service the Archaeological Research for World Heritage Sites scheme has been extended to include those sites listed on the new Tentative List sites announced in 2022.
Those sites are:
- The Passage Tomb Landscape of County Sligo;
- Transatlantic Cable Ensemble: Valentia, County Kerry – Heart’s Content, Newfoundland and Labrador; and,
- The Royal Sites of Ireland: Dún Ailinne; Hill of Uisneach; Rock of Cashel; Rathcroghan; Tara, and Emain Macha/Navan Fort
