DRI Welcomes University College Dublin as Member

16 February 2023

The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) is delighted to announce that University College Dublin (UCD) has joined as our latest member.

University College Dublin (UCD) is the tenth Higher Education Institution to join the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI). UCD is the largest university in Ireland and 'one of Europe's leading research-intensive universities; an environment where undergraduate education, masters and PhD training, research, innovation and community engagement form a dynamic spectrum of activity.' They join DRI to ensure that their staff and researchers from their eleven humanities, law and social science schools can access DRI’s services.

UCD University Librarian, Dr Sandra Collins said:

UCD Library is delighted to become a member of the Digital Repository of Ireland. Research data and digitised resources are increasingly important for libraries and researchers, and with DRI membership, we can provide another valuable service to the UCD community. We look forward to sharing the benefits of DRI membership with our users and to the continued success of this trusted national digital repository.

DRI’s Interim Director, Dr Lisa Griffith welcomed UCD saying:

We are excited to work with UCD and their research community to help them meet their open research goals and make their research data sustainable. We look forward to sharing our knowledge and expertise with UCD’s research community and using this engagement to further develop our work in Open Research and Digital Preservation.

DRI staff will be presenting to UCD’s research community on Wednesday 15 of February in the James Joyce Library as part of their Love Data Week events.
