Purcell Papers, RIA MS 4 A 42

The collection consists of 49 documents relating to the estate and land transactions of the Purcell family of Loughmoe, Co. Tipperary (Special List A019).

The collection presented to the Royal Irish Academy, 30 June, 1950 by J. Riversdale Colthurst on behalf of Mrs. Delap, Mulrankin Rectory, Wexford, and her brother, Dr. W. Stubbs. The papers belonged to their grandfather, the late J.W. Stubbs, Senior Fellow, T.C.D., his mother having been a Miss Purcell. See: Royal Irish Academy: Minutes of Proceedings, (1950-51), p. [14].
