THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

The Archaeology 2025 Assembly is the penultimate public event in the 6 months of open engagement for the Archaeology 2025 Strategy project.

Differing areas of expertise are invited to come together for collective conversation on how archaeology's unique status as a cultural, scientific and social resource will play a strong, meaningful part in Ireland's future. So help to steer this ship forward in a way that may work for you and your organisation.

The free event will take place on Thursday 7 April, 2016 in the Royal Irish Academy, booking is essential.

This is an initiative of the RIA Standing Committee on Archaeology, facilitated by the Discovery Programme. The project's output will be a 10 year, all-island, strategy which will actively strengthen the future of archaeology. Light lunch, teas and coffees provided.
