Station event to commemorate Joseph Mary Plunkett

A special event will be hosted to remember Joseph Mary Plunkett, after whom Waterford Station was renamed in 1966.
The event will take place at Plunkett Station on Saturday 25 June at 1.15pm as part of Iarnród Éireann's 1916 commemoration programme, in partnership with the Royal Irish Academy, OPW and Ireland 2016.
The event will be addressed by the Mayor of Waterford City and County, John Cummins and Donnacha O'Ceallacháin, historian.
Light refreshments will be served. All welcome.
Joseph Mary Plunkett features in our recent publication 1916 Portraits and Lives, edited by James Quinn and Lawrence White, and illustrated by David Rooney.
