Report published following Constitutional Conversation no. 4 of 6.

The fourth in a series of six Constitutional Conversations sponsored by Mason Hayes & Curran and which are organised by the Academy's Ethical, Political, Legal and Philosophical Studies Committee.
This conversation took place on 8 June and discussed the connection between individual and collective freedom, which are referenced in the preamble of Bunreacht na hÉireann.  These two notions of freedom were questioned as to whether they are conflicting.  New ways of making sense of and understanding the republican idea that we flourish as individuals only when all of us flourish within the framework of a legally regulated, political association were examined. Click here to read  a full report from this event.
