Women on Walls

09 March 2017

On 9 March 2017, the story of 'Women on Walls' was aired on RTE One to mark International Women's Day.

Women on Walls was a campaign in 2016, in partnership with Accenture, to make female leaders visible with commissioned portraits, creating role models for Irish women in the year of the centenary.

These videos include interviews with artist Blaise Smith, artist Vera Klute and a preview of the sittings with the 8 European Research Grant holders, the subjects of the painting '8 scientists', now on permanent display at the Royal Irish Academy
