The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

You are invited to “Save the Date” to attend the Royal Irish Academy Consultation Forum on Heritage Ireland 2030, in conjunction with the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

The forum will:

  • Hear about the context of Heritage Ireland 2030 from the Chief Archaeologist, National Monuments Service, Michael MacDonagh.
  • Host facilitated group discussions on the key themes of the plan. Feedback and observations gathered will be communicated directly to the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
  • Hear comments and reactions from a high-level panel of experts.
