The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Academy of Sciences of Turin Prizes

Two prizes are being awarded in 2019:  The “Angiola Gili and Cataldo Agostinelli International Prize” and The “Ferrari Soave International Prize”.

The “Angiola Gili and Cataldo Agostinelli International Prize” amounting to €10.000, to a scientist who has achieved distinction in the field of Applied Mathematics to Physical or Natural Sciences or Engineering during the last ten years.

The “Ferrari Soave International Prize” amounting to € 10.000, to a scientist who has achieved distinction in the field of Cellular Biology during the last ten years.
