Extended Deadline - Archaeology Research Grants and Radiocarbon dates

06 April 2020

The deadline for these grant schemes has been extended until 14 April 2020 due to the current Covid-19 situation.

Archaeology Research Grants Scheme

The Royal Irish Academy has traditionally run an annual Archaeology Research Grants Scheme in partnership with the National Monuments Service (Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht). This scheme funds projects that provide a significant and original contribution to archaeological knowledge. This year we are pleased to say that the Department for Communities Northern Ireland, through the Historic Environment Division are also partnering with us, allowing the scheme to now operate on an all-island basis.
