Patrick Geoghegan interviews John Gibney, Micheal Kennedy and Kate O'Malley this Sunday, 26 April.

Tune in to News Talk this Sunday, 26 April, from 7 p.m. and listen to John Gibney, Michael Kennedy and Kate O'Malley discuss their book Ireland: a voice among the nations with Patrick Geoghegan on Talking History. You can listen back to the programme here.

Ireland: a voice among the nations is a richly illustrated history of Irish foreign policy. It explores how a small state such as Ireland has related to the wider world, by examining how Irish diplomats and politicians responded to the challenges presented by the upheavals of the twentieth century and how this small European state engaged with the world, from the Versailles peace conference of 1919 to the globalisation of the twenty-first century. This is a centenary project of the Royal Irish Academy, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the National Archives.

To coincide with our author's interview, we're offering Ireland: a voice among the nations at the discounted price of €20 until the end of April. You can purchase the book here. The Academy is closed at the moment to protect the public; we will process your order as soon as we reopen. While waiting for your book, why not try your hand at solving the book cover jigsaw puzzle?
