THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Discover the Library’s digital collections

08 June 2020

We have been working with our colleagues in the IT Department to improve our website which we hope will bring you closer to our collections.

Our website has had an upgrade during lockdown. The Library landing page has been redesigned and now includes a Digital Collections portal, making it easier to connect users to our content, new and old. View our online exhibitions, take a tour of Academy House, listen to past recordings of our Lunchtime Lectures and Conferences and early C20th Irish dialect sound recordings from the Doegen Project. Learning more about the library and its collections is only a click away.

Library staff are working remotely but are still here to assist with any research enquiries you may have, contact us by email library@ria.ie.
