Consultation on a UN Research Roadmap for the Covid-19 Recovery
10 August 2020United Nations Research Roadmap for the Covid-19 Recovery- have your say on what research is needed to build back from the pandemic.
In April 2020 the UN Framework for the Immediate Socio-Economic Response to the Covid-19 Recovery was published, setting out the framework for the United Nations (UN) socio-economic support to countries and societies in the face of Covid-19. The world’s recovery efforts outlined in the framework will be strengthened if the proposed actions are informed by the best available scientific evidence. The UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J Mohammed, has commissioned a task force led by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to develop a ‘UN Research Roadmap for the COVID-19 Recovery’ to help inform Covid-19 recovery towards the Sustainable Development Goals and to support knowledge and policy priorities aligned with the five areas presented in the UN Framework.
The task force is seeking input from scientific organisations and individuals that are responsible for designing and implementing policies and programmes in support of the Covid-19 recovery. Please consider sharing your thoughts on what research is needed in order to inform the coordinated, decisive, and innovative policy action to accelerate socio-economic recovery and progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. To participate in the consultation please complete this form and submit your response by 19 August 2020.
