14 October 2020

In this commissioned text, Maggie Armstrong introduces TU Dublin staff and students to the 'chequered' past of their new campus in Grangegorman.

This autumn was set to mark the arrival of over ten thousand students, along with teaching staff, to the new TU Dublin campus at Grangegorman. Commissioned by the Grangegorman Histories project, freelance author Maggie Armstrong writes about the past of this site, informing newcomers of its history as a penitentiary, an asylum and a hospital. You can read Maggie's full article on the TU Dublin website here
