THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. Launch of DRI Instagram Account

05 November 2021

The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) is excited to announce that we will be launching a DRI Instagram account during  Explore Your Archive (EYA) Week, which runs from 20-28 November 2021.

EYA Week is a campaign managed by the Archives and Records Association that ‘aims to showcase the best of archives and archive services across Ireland and the UK and to make the public aware of the phenomenal array of archival collections held by organisations’. [1] During EYA Week, people are encouraged to share content from the collections they steward by interacting with a different theme each day across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #ExploreYourArchive.

As a national repository, DRI is committed to enhancing the discoverability of Ireland’s digital cultural heritage and social sciences data. We look forward to expanding our social media presence through Instagram with the aim of sharing our members’ collections more widely, reaching new audiences, and reinforcing the benefits of opening data for the greatest discovery of cultural heritage and social sciences digital content.
