The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

National Museums Northern Ireland

Graduate of QUB, Department of Archaeology for both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees (Ph.D - Irish Bronze Age metalwork, 1989). Contract employee for the Archaeological survey, NI, and over 20 years experience in the local Museum sector at Fermanagh and Armagh County Museums. Currently the Curator of Archaeology for National Museums Northern Ireland with responsibility for the entire collections, reporting and recording of finds and dealing with all research enquires.
