The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Liam Cleere

UCD

Liam joined University College Dublin (UCD) in September 2005 and is a Senior Manager for Research Analytics and Reporting. His primary role is leading the Research Analytics team to provide the best research systems and information to UCD’s research community. He also manages the research impact programme at UCD.

He is a proven, innovative professional with 11 years of experience in research information systems, strategic planning/optimisation and business intelligence. In addition, Liam has over 10 years management consulting and project management experience in Ireland and overseas.  Prior to UCD, Liam held various positions at Deloitte, Accenture & Rolls-Royce & Bentley motorcars.

Liam holds Masters of Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering degrees.
