We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Ollamh Cúnta is ea Michelle O Riordan i Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh in Institiúid Ard-Léinn Bhaile Átha Cliath. Stair na hÉireann sa tréimhse 1300–1700 is mó atá mar ábhar taighde aici. Baintear leas, go príomha, sa taighde sin as ábhar sa Ghaeilge a cumadh le linn na tréimhse sin. 

Tá leabhair, monagraif agus ailt foilsithe aici – i nGaeilge agus i mBéarla – le foilsitheoirí aithnidiúla agus in irisí acadúla piarmheasúnaithe. Orthusan tá: 

  • 2016: Múinidh dom Glao : Éifeacht mhothálach an ghairmigh ag filí na Gaeilge (Leabhar Breac: Ionad an Léinn Éireannaigh, OÉ Gaillimh)
