The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

2016 US-Ireland Research Innovation Awards Shortlist Announced

The RIA and the American Chamber of Commerce, Ireland are delighted to announce the shortlisted organisations for the 2016 US-Ireland Research Innovation Awards.

The shortlist was announced at the American Chamber President’s lunch at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin on Thursday 3 March. Each shortlisted organisation will be profiled in The Irish Times over the coming months. The winners in each of the award categories will receive a specially commissioned award designed by Shane Holland. Winners will be announced at the American Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner on 20 May.

The 2016 US-Ireland Research Innovation Awards are sponsored by KPMG and Ulster Bank and supported by The Irish Times.
