Documents on Irish Foreign Policy and the Digital Repository of Ireland

21 May 2020

Documents on Irish Foreign Policy (DIFP) now has a dedicated collection in the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI).

The main task of DIFP is to publish archival material relating to Ireland's foreign policy, but alongside the series of documents that form the core of the project, over the years we have developed a number of ancillary projects - exhibitions and booklets - to mark specific anniversaries. These can be difficult to access once the anniversaries in question have passed so, thanks to our colleagues in the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI), we can now make some of these available again via a new, dedicated DIFP collection in the DRI.

The items in question are an exhibition marking the fortieth anniversary of our membership of the European Economic Community (produced in 2013), a booklet marking the sixtieth anniversary of our membership of the United Nations (produced in 2015), and the booklet that accompanied last year's online exhibition on Ireland's international sovereignty from the first Dáil to the declaration of the Republic (co-curated with UCD Archives).

All of these resources are now available to download from the DRI, and we intend to add more to the collection over the coming months: watch this space.
