Launch Of Foclóir na Nua-Ghaeilge’s Bibliographical Databases

31 August 2009

In 2009, Minister of State, Dinny Mc Ginley, T.D., launched Foclóir na Nua-Ghaeilge’s Bibliographical Databases.

The texts on these databases will be used to choose the words for inclusion in the historical language dictionary. The material listed on the first database is available to search on the CD-ROM “Corpas na Gaeilge 1600-1882”. A database of periodicals (journals, newpapers etc.) from 1882-2000 will be available on line soon.   In the photograph are: An tOllamh Seán Ó Coileáin, An Dr Úna Uí Bheirn, An tAire Éamon Ó Cuív, An tOllamh Nicholas Canny.
