Charlemont Grants scheme open for applications

24 October 2019

The Royal Irish Academy’s research travel grant scheme for early career researchers based in Ireland is open for applications

The RIA is proud to fund an average of 20 proposals for worthwhile and timely international collaborations across both the Humanities and Sciences through the awarding of travel grants of up to €2,500 each year.

Last year’s grants saw applicants travel to further their research in destinations from Colombia to Canada studying topics as diverse as “The Development of the Musical Court ode” and “Targeting treatment resistant ovarian cancer stem cells”. Please click here to see a list of previously funded projects.

This year the RIA is thankful to the generosity of its Members for their support which has allowed the Academy to dedicate funding for at least one Grant to independent scholars.

Full details of the scheme and to register your interest see here. The scheme is open for applications until 17:00 on Wednesday 4 December.

Please join the Academy’s mailing list list and select grants to receive notifications and updates.
