The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton, T.D. to officially launch the CONUL Strategy 2016–2019 on Tuesday 22 November

The Board of CONUL (Consortium of National and University Libraries) will hold the launch of ‘Ireland’s memory, Ireland’s discovery: CONUL Strategy 2016–2019’ at 5.30pm on Tuesday, 22 November at the Royal Irish Academy, 19 Dawson Street, Dublin 2. Irish research library collections hold Ireland’s memory and enable Ireland’s discovery. CONUL is at the heart of Ireland’s global advance as a place of new research, of digital depth and cultural breadth.

Minister for Education and Skills, Mr Richard Bruton, T.D. will officially launch the Strategy which outlines the Consortium’s vision for the next three years.
