Next month ALLEA, EASAC and FEAM will start a joint project on international health data transfer for research.

Nominations of experts are now being sought for a working group with the objective to discuss and prepare a statement on the critical area of international health data transfer for research. This new ALLEA-EASAC-FEAM project will require:

  • Expertise in issues covered by the General Data Protection Regulation and, particularly, in health data transfer across borders and privacy concerns.
  • Interest in communicating about the value of the public investment in health research.

It is envisaged that two working group meetings will be held and that the project will be completed by late 2020. More information about this project can be found in the scoping paper.

To express an interest in being nominated to this working group by the Royal Irish Academy, please send a short curriculum vitae (i.e. no more than two pages) and a short explanation on how your experience meets the areas of expertise needed  to policy@ria.ie by 9 March 2020.
