Call for Nominations: Global Sustainable Development Report
01 February 2019Reviewers needed for the 2019 Global Sustainable Development Report.
The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), together with the International Science Council (ISC) and the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), invite nominations for reviewers of the 2019 Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR)
Within the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, the GSDR contributes to the follow-up and review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will provide input to the High Level Political Forum. The GSDR has been prepared for the first time by an Independent Group of Scientists, appointed by the UN Secretary-General, to help strengthen the science-policy interface.
Reviewers must be nominated by a member organization of the ISC, IAP and/or WFEO (e.g. the Royal Irish Academy) and they should be active in relevant research, with an emphasis on trans-disciplinary approaches and policy expertise. They should also have knowledge of international/UN processes. Reviews should be submitted in English. The reviewers will act in a personal capacity.
It is anticipated that the review period for the approximately 100-page report will be February 27 – March 27, 2019. A template for providing comments will be provided.
Please find additional important details in the call for nominations document. If you would like to nominate a reviewer, including self-nominating, please express your interest to Craig Skerritt (c.skerritt@ria.ie), Policy and International Programmes Manager by Thursday 7 February 2019.
