We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

EASAC issue a press release urging EU Commission to address the Circular Economy in its international trade negotiations.

The European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC) issued a press release urging the EU Commission to address the Circular Economy in its international trade negotiations. 

This press release was issued on foot of a previous EASAC commentary on the Circular Economy which was published in November 2015. This commentary was drafted by the EASAC Working Group on Circular Economy. The RIA is represented on this working group by Geraldine Ann Cusack.
