We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Dictionary of Medieval Latin from Celtic Sources: Culture Night, 2022

The Editor and Assistant Editor of DMLCS invite you to explore the medieval Latin heritage of Ireland and other Celtic nations with them

The Project Team will present an introduction to their research in dictionary compilation and the publications arising from their research. Particular attention will be paid to the project's groundbreaking history as the first fully digital dictionary project in the world, and its role in the development of computerised lexicography.
