Listen back to the authors of 'Ireland: A voice among the nations' on Newstalk's 'Talking History'

27 April 2020

John Gibney, Michael Kennedy and Kate O'Malley recently appeared on Newstalk's Talking History to discuss their recent history of Irish foreign policy, Ireland: a voice among the nations.

On Sunday 26 April 2020 John Gibney, Michael Kennedy and Kate O'Malley were interviewed by Patrick Geoghegan on Newstalk's Talking History about their recent illustrated history of Irish foreign policy, Ireland: a voice among the nations. You can download or stream a podcast of the programme here.

The book was a centenary project developed between the Royal Irish Academy, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the National Archives of Ireland, and was researched and written under the auspices of the RIA’s Documents on Irish Foreign Policy project. Read an extract from it here, and explore this RTÉ photoessay based on the book.

To coincide with the interview, Ireland: a voice among the nations is available the discounted price of €20 until the end of April. You can purchase the book here. The Academy is closed at the moment to protect the public; we will process your order as soon as we reopen.
