We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Christmas last postal dates for web orders

This year is like no other and we advise customers to shop early, or ‘click and collect’ from Academy House.

Are you looking for the perfect Christmas gift for a loved one? Browse our webshop and discover our wide range of books and beautiful stationery, or find out more about our journal subscriptions. 

We ship worldwide and delivery in Ireland is free on all orders over €50. We will do our best to have your copies delivered in time for Christmas, but please consider An Post’s deadlines when placing your order. This year is like no other and we advise customers to shop early.

We are happy to announce that, with the lifting of Level 5 restrictions, you can 'click and collect' from Academy House, Tuesday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last day of 'click and collect' is 23 December. Any postal orders placed after 14.00 on 23 December will not be posted until we reopen on 7 January 2021.
