Limited Edition 1916 Print Series Available for Pre-order

The Royal Irish Academy has produced a limited edition set of prints by artist David Rooney from our book 1916 Portraits and Lives.

  • 100 prints of the 42 portraits and of the 3 scenes from the book are numbered and signed by the artist, David Rooney.
  • Individual portraits (unframed) are lithograph printed onto 500x 500mm (image area 280x270mm) cuts of uncoated Munken Lynx rough paper (170 g/m2) – €125 each. Full set, 42 prints – €2,400
  • Scenes (unframed) are lithograph printed onto 910x610 mm (image area 670x452mm) cuts of uncoated Munken Lynx rough paper (170 g/m2) – €200 each. Full set, 3 prints – €500
  • Prints conveniently fit Ikea ‘RIBBA’ frames.

The original artworks created for 1916 Portraits and Lives are now in the State Collection and will form part of the Centenary exhibition at Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin.

Illustrator David Rooney’s artwork features in publications by The Folio Society, London, and in cultural centres such as the Titanic Experience, Belfast, King John’s Castle, Limerick; and the Stonehenge visitor centre.
