We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Open call for membership of Editorial Board for Biology and Environment

The Royal Irish Academy is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals who are willing to serve on the Editorial Board of its journal Biology and Environment.

Biology and Environment is a broad spectrum, peer-reviewed journal publishing biological and environmental research on topics of Irish interest for an international readership.

Editorial Board members are appointed for an initial period of five years, subject to member’s availability, with the possibility of renewal for successive two-year periods upon the expiration of this initial five-year period. Editorial Board members do not need to be based in Ireland.
