The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest Academic honour in Ireland.

RIA Publications Senior Editor appointed to ALPSP Training Committee

Helena King, RIA Publications Senior Editor, has been appointed as a member of the Training Committee of the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP).

ALPSP is an international membership trade body that supports and represents not-for-profit organisations and institutions that publish scholarly and professional content. It is the largest trade association helping scholarly and professional publishers around the world. The responsibilities of the training committee are to plan, oversee and review the development of the annual syllabus of training courses delivered by ALPSP. Helena will serve as a subject director for the Editorial and General training courses, for an initial term of office of three years.
