The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Watch Achieving Ireland's climate action ambitions

The RIA Engineering and Computer Sciences committee hosted a conference entitled ‘Achieving Ireland’s Climate Action Ambitions’ online on 25 February 2021.

The event sponsored by the SEAI and EPA opened with a keynote address from Eamon Ryan TD, Minister for Transport and the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications.

Four panels brought together thought leaders from industry, academia and the public sector to present innovative ideas and discuss climate action strategies.
