Early draft (2012) of forthcoming atlas of Cork.

Cork

Please note: this early draft was completed in 2012. A considerable amount of work has been completed since 2012 and continues on a daily basis where it stands at over 750 pages (as opposed to 250 in the 2012 draft) that contain 14,000 histories of Cork sites. The atlas is in production stage and will not be updated here. (December 2020).

A draft gazetteer of topographical information on Cork city with a full list of abbreviations is now online and available to download as pdf documents (Cork Gazetteer and Abbreviations). The draft was compiled in 2012 as part of work in progress on the Irish Historic Towns Atlas of Cork by Máire Ní Laoi. The work was part-funded by the Built Heritage element of the Environmental Fund, Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
