THE ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY IS IRELAND'S LEADING BODY OF EXPERTS IN THE SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

The Royal Irish Academy/Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann champions research. We identify and recognise Ireland’s world class researchers. We support scholarship and promote awareness of how science and the humanities enrich our lives and benefit society. We believe that good research needs to be promoted, sustained and communicated. The Academy is run by a Council of its members. Membership is by election and considered the highest academic honour in Ireland.

Tax Efficient Donations from Outside Ireland

It's possible to make tax efficient donations to the Academy from outside of Ireland.

Donations from European Countries

Members of the Academy resident in a number of European countries, including the UK, can make tax-efficient donations through the Transnational Giving Europe (TGE)<transnationalgiving.eu> network, a partnership of European charitable foundations. The TGE network enables donors resident in any of the participating countries to support non-profit organisations in other member countries. Donors are then eligible to receive the tax benefit of the country in which they live.

For MRIA based in Northern Ireland & the UK (who wish to make a donation of £250 or more), please contact:
