‘Northerners not welcome?’ A panel discussion at the Royal Irish Academy

A panel discussion hosted by ARINS (Analysing and Researching Ireland North and South) in association with The Irish Times, which took place in the Royal Irish Academy on 11 July 2024.

Mark Hennessy, Britain and Ireland editor at The Irish Times, chaired an exploration of the experiences of Northerners working and living south of the border, with speakers:

– Malachai O’Hara, Leader of the Green Party Northern Ireland and a Senator in the Oireachtas; Belfast native

– Karyn Harty, Partner at Dentons Ireland; native of Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim

– Una O’Neill, a Derry-born GP partner at Mercer’s Medical Centre
